I love this time of year. Temperatures have cooled a bit. We are able to leave the windows in the house open all the time. Sleeping in the early fall is one of my all-time favorite activities.

With the kids in our neighborhood back in school, there’s less chaos at night. During the day, the monsters are all centrally located at the bus stop. It’s the rare occasion where they’re actually supervised by an adult.

Though the days are getting shorter, it’s my favorite time to be outside. Golfing is ideal this time of year. The only downside is that weeks fly by too quickly and our weekends fill up fast. September is the month of my birthday and wedding anniversary, so there’s a lot of time that gets committed to celebrating those. Not that I mind, but before I know it, it will be October, and the month will have flown by in the blink of an eye.

You’d think I’d remember from year to year. The trend is always the same. But, I somehow forget every summer, thinking that I’ll have more time in the fall. Then November rolls around and I’m left shaking my head and wondering what happened.
