This morning as we were settling in for another weekend brew day, I flip on the golf channel. Because most tv options at that hour suck, it is a good choice. We can have something on in the background and it’s not something I have to pause each time I walk away from it.
Today’s coverage was a tournament in Sicily, a gorgeous resort along the turquoise water with a challenging, yet playable course. (Or at least that’s what I’d like to tell myself.) Having little more than the tournament footage to build from, I would love to give this place a shot.
The course is part of a resort and spa. Say no more! I spend a better part of the morning daydreaming about a golf get-away in Sicily. It’s not out of the realm of possibilities, though. Maybe in a year or two, if we wanted to make that a priority in our savings.
But just in case, I’ll take some golf lessons and work on my short game. I’ll also be keeping an eye out for good airline deals to Europe. Does anyone know the Italian word for “mulligan?”
